My family’s roots are in Brazil, where my daughters were born, and I’ve spent years close to Latin America — apartments in Brazil, months at a time across Mexico, and time throughout Central America. I’ve done dental mission work in the region, and toured countless clinics and sat with the dentists who run them.
So I’ve seen both sides. There are clinics down here doing world-class work for a fraction of U.S. prices — and there are ones that cut corners and leave patients worse off. The difference isn’t the country. It’s the clinic, and most patients have no way to tell them apart before they fly.
